The Nursing Leadership Academy is dedicated to developing skilled, confident leaders who drive excellence in patient care. Through mentorship, specialized training, and hands-on experience, the Academy offers nurses the the opportunity to grow into leadership roles within the organization, shaping the future of healthcare at FirstHealth.

Transition to Practice Program
The FirstHealth Transition to Practice Program is a 1-year evidence-based program designed for nurses with less than 12 months experience. It supports the nurse resident as he/she transitions from a novice to a clinical professional and prepares him/her to be successful as a full partner on the healthcare team. Annually, there are two cohorts: Winter/Spring and Summer/Fall.

The FirstHealth Clinical Ladder program was designed as a professional development tool to reward, recognize, and promote excellence in clinical bedside nursing.
